Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park straddles the border of northeastern Arizona and southeastern Utah. The Four corners area. Established in 1923 as a trading post, the area is situated entirely within the Navajo Indian Reservation.

Also known as Monument Valley and even, incorrectly, Monument Valley Tribal Park, Navajos have made their home and their living here for many years.

They still retain a combination of love, respect and even fear for the land. A land where earth meets sky. Little changed from centuries ago.

If you want to gain the usual tourist overview of the area, Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park has a visitor center, campground and restaurant. And a beautiful new hotel – The View – is due to open this year.
